I hope everyone is staying safe. We have limited power at the office, no internet, no phones, so we are working from home, although the cell phone service is spotty, and the internet service is intermittent. We are available if you need us, but please keep trying us if you don't get through at first. We are doing our best with what we have. Since our office is the only location impacted by the fallen tree on our power line, I am betting we will be among the last to recover power.

Insurance pricing is sky-high right now. However, please be sure to obtain insurance through someone you trust. Today, we had a client obtain a quote from a large, well-known agency in Nashville. He was super excited about the savings he could get on his home insurance. Thankfully, he contacted us before starting the new replacement. We represent the same company he obtained pricing from and could give him the same policy. However, the other agency didn't tell him they removed the Guaranteed Home Replacement Cost coverage, removed Replacement Cost on his Contents, lowered his Contents coverage, removed Water Backup coverage, increased his Wind/Hail deductible, and included a discount for purchasing a life or annuity product. Once we exposed the missing coverages, it didn't seem like such a good deal. You are much better off with an insurance advisor that will watch out for you than trying to find the lowest price. I'm seeing too many agents cutting/removing needed coverages in order to sell a policy at a lower cost.
