If you have Anthem DUAL or FULL DUAL MAPD plans, they will be ending on 2-28-2025. You will automatically be moved to original A and B and a drug plan. You have until 3-31-2025 to pick a new plan, but if you choose by 2-28-2025 you won't spend a month on just original Medicare and a drug plan. Call me at 270-831-1038

Medicare season (Oct 15 - Dec 7) is almost here. We are all about to be bombarded with ads, so here are some tips -

Independent brokers/agents like myself are contracted with all the major carriers. We can sit down and show you how plans stack up against each other, so you have a clear picture of everything out there.

Medicare supplements can be changed all year long. Medicare Advantage plans and PDP (drug plans) can generally only be changed in the fall season, which is why you see all the ads.

You'll see a lot of ads on TV, usually with celebrities, talking about how great something is. Before you call up the 800 number, check with a local independent broker to make sure if it really is best for you.

HMO plans have a strict defined network. PPO plans will let you go out of network, but sometimes you might pay a little more for the visit. Be sure to have all of your doctors verified as taking a plan before you sign up.

Medicare does not call up people to try and sign them up for plans.

Medicare supplements do not have a network. They cover excess charges after Medicare pays. There are various plans, check with an agent to see details and what best fits your needs.

I has come to my attention that someone has sent letters to some of my Medicare clients saying that they would be their new agent. This letter is false, and I encourage anyone that receives one of these letters to contact me. I would appreciate a copy of it very much. Thanks.
