I developed my love for service during my 20-year career in the United States Army serving from Texas to Belgium, Iraq and Afghanistan. In the summer of 2017, I retired as a lieutenant colonel and departed on my Edward Jones career. In 2018, I earned my permanent office in San Antonio, and as I like to say, “I did 20 years in the Army, and now I’ve got 20 to 30 years serving families as an Edward
Jones advisor.”
I grew up in Richardson, TX, earned my Associate Degree at New Mexico Military Institute, a BBA in finance from Sam Houston State University, and an MPA from Bowie State (through UMUC). Kathy and I met at SHSU, and we married in 1999. Since then we’ve lived in nine towns (in three countries), and have raised three wonderful young men aged 18, 15 and 11. I also enjoy coaching youth sports, participating in my church and volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Association, the Baptist’s Children Home and The Guardians of the Children. I don’t work alone. I partner with Jessica Martinez, the branch office administrator. She is a long-time citizen of San Antonio, earned her bachelor's degree at Southern New Hampshire University and is expecting her first child in September. Prior to Edward Jones, Jessica served at Capital Group (American Funds) as a compliance team leader. She joined Edward Jones in 2019 and has improved our service daily.
