Project HOPE continues! Today, our team in Wilton is wearing purple for Cancer Survivorship Awareness.

Now what? Life after treatment. Finishing treatment is a milestone, but survivorship is the transition that follows—where healing continues physically and emotionally. What’s common in the first 90 days: lingering fatigue, sleep or appetite changes, brain fog, aches, and emotions that can feel like relief mixed with worry or scanxiety. Track what you notice: energy, sleep, mood, pain, digestion, and anything new that sticks around more than 2 weeks should be checked. As you return to routines, go slow, protect your energy, and give yourself grace as you build back into daily life.

Healing takes time, and you’re not expected to rush it!💜 Thank you for following along with us on this week of awareness!

This Thursday, our Hazen team is showing support by wearing dark blue in honor of Colorectal Cancer Awareness.

Colorectal cancer doesn’t always start with pain. It can show up as everyday digestive changes like bloating, constipation, diarrhea, or fatigue. The key is noticing what’s new for you and what doesn’t go away. Things to pay attention to: ongoing changes in bowel habits, narrow stools, feeling like you still need to go, blood in the stool, persistent bloating or cramping, unexplained fatigue, or weight loss. And a reminder, some people have no symptoms at all.

Screening reminder: Colorectal cancer screening is recommended starting at age 45 for average risk, and earlier if you have a family history or other risk factors. Screening can actually prevent cancer by finding and removing polyps early.

Listen to your body, and follow up if something doesn’t feel right!💙

Today, our Halliday team is wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness! Know what’s “normal” for you, because breast cancer doesn’t always show up as a lump. Sometimes it’s subtle changes like texture, shape, skin, or ni**le differences that are easy to miss or brush off.

Things to pay attention to: a new firm area, changes in size or shape, skin dimpling or redness, ni**le changes, or swelling under the arm or near the collarbone. And a reminder, it doesn’t always hurt. If something feels different, get it checked. Early detection really does make a difference.

Screening reminder: Mammograms are generally recommended starting at 40 for average risk, but your provider can help guide what’s right for you based on your history.

Know your normal, trust what you notice, and follow up!đź©·

We’re back for Day 2 of Project HOPE! Today, our Beulah teams are wearing black for Skin Cancer Awareness. 🖤

Skin cancer isn’t always where you’d expect it. While it can show up on sun-exposed areas, it can also develop on the scalp, ears, nails, feet, and other less obvious places. It may appear as a sore that doesn’t heal, a scaly or rough patch, or even something that looks like a bruise. Be mindful of new or changing spots, sores that linger, itchy or rough patches, or anything that just looks or feels different from the rest of your skin. If something seems off, it’s worth getting it checked—early detection truly matters.

Stay aware, stay proactive, and keep the conversation going!

We’re proud to be part of something bigger. Join us May 4–8, as we take part in the Bismarck Cancer Center Project HOPE Wellness Event. This week brings local businesses together to raise awareness for some of the most prevalent cancers in North Dakota while encouraging healthy habits, early detection, and hope for a healthier future. Our team will be showing support all week by dressing casually and wearing cancer ribbon colors—an easy but meaningful way to spark conversation and stand together in awareness and support.

Today, we’re wearing teal for Gynecological Cancer Awareness, with our Glen Ullin branch joining us in support. 🩵

Symptoms like unusual bleeding, bloating, pelvic pressure, or irritation can be easy to brush off, but it’s important to pay attention when something feels new or doesn’t go away. Watch for changes in bleeding patterns, ongoing bloating, or pelvic pain that feels out of the ordinary.

If symptoms persist for two weeks or more, don’t ignore them—early detection can make a real difference. Here’s to a stronger, healthier community

Agriculture has always been at the heart of our community, shaping who we are from the very beginning. For generations, we have worked alongside farmers, community members, and small businesses. We understand the challenges, the seasons, and the long-term commitment it takes to keep things moving forward. That perspective shapes our approach to banking, built on trust, hard work, and lasting relationships.

As we have grown, our commitment has remained the same. We are here to support the people and industries that keep our communities strong.
