🌟 Meet Darla! 🌟

Darla has been a valued member of our team for 21 years. She currently serves as our EVP/CFO and also is the Compliance, BSA, and HR Officer. Outside of work, Darla enjoys hunting, fishing, and watching Royals baseball with her husband Jeff. Even though she says she’s not very good at it, her favorite game is trivia—though her coworkers would definitely disagree with that!

One of the biggest lessons she’s learned throughout her career is not to take things personally—most situations are business-related rather than personal. When she’s not at the bank, you’ll likely find her cooking up a big meal so she can enjoy leftovers and avoid cooking every day.

A fun fact about Darla: she was the first student at her high school to break the 100-words-per-minute mark in typing!

Meet Vanessa, a member of our Lewis Branch team for the past three years! As a Loan Assistant, Vanessa takes pride in the growth she’s experienced in her role, sharing that her coworkers have truly been role models. Their guidance and support have helped her become more confident and well-rounded. Vanessa dreams of traveling to Bora Bora for its warm, relaxing beaches. Her favorite way to unwind is by spending quality time with her family, and you can often find her gathered around the table playing her favorite board game, Uno — a fun and simple choice that makes family game nights extra special.

Ty has been a dedicated teller at Bank of Hays for the past 2.5 years. He enjoys spending his summers at the lake, staying active at the gym, and hanging out with friends. Like many kids, Ty once dreamed of becoming a professional athlete, but these days he channels that same energy into creating meaningful interactions with customers and coworkers. One of the most valuable lessons he’s learned in his career is that simply showing up on time with a good attitude can make a difference—not just in his own day, but in the days of those around him. And here’s a fun fact: Ty is a pretty solid juggler!

Mindy Cure has been part of the Hanston Insurance Agency for 20 years! 🎉 Her experience, dedication, and genuine care for our clients have made a lasting impact over the years.

Growing up, Mindy’s dream job was to work on a farm—which makes perfect sense since she now works closely with many of our AG customers.

When she’s not hard at work, Mindy enjoys recharging by spending time with family, going for walks, porch sitting, and relaxing while boating at the lake 🚤🌅.
