Good Friday for the year 2025 is celebrated/ observed on Friday, April 18th.

Good Friday is a Christian observance held two days before Easter Sunday and it commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at Calvary (located right outside the walls of Jerusalem). Good Friday is the sixth day of Holy week and is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday and Easter Friday. The day is also part of the Paschal Triduum that starts on the evening of Maundy Thursday and continues to Easter Sunday recalling the passion, death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

Growing number of states to require financial literacy course in high school
Only 10 states require students to take a personal finance course to graduate from high school, but by 2031, it's expected to jump to 26. Studies show requiring financial education improves credit scores, lowers loan delinquency rates and reduces the likelihood of falling behind on credit card payments.

Additional ideas to help you manage your finances.

1)Plan out a side hustle idea. Or make a business vision board.
2)Make at least one increase to your debt payments or savings.
3)Practice at least one money mindset exercise – like gratitude, affirmations, or visualization.
4)Invest in one asset using a simple investing checklist.
5)Think about one spending habit that’s holding you back. Make a list of ways you can make this spending harder to do. (I.e. take a different route to work, leave cash at home, etc.)
6)Start a morning routine that serves your financial wellness.
7)Make a meal plan for the month. Decide you aren’t going to eat out.
8)Invest in yourself in at least one way.
9)Define your money and life values.
10)Make a bucket list for retirement, this year, or this season to give you motivation.
11)Spend 5 minutes reading up on key financial literacy terms. The next time someone talks about it, you’ll know!
