💲 Starting Salary: $45,000–$65,000 (based on experience) + benefits

Position Summary
IT Technician serves as the primary point of contact for all technology-related issues. This individual is responsible for providing initial diagnostic support, performing basic hardware and software troubleshooting, and coordinating ticket escalation to senior staff when necessary. The ideal candidate is a patient problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities
• Technical Support
• Incident Management
• User Provisioning
• Software Maintenance
• Documentation
• Escalation

Technical Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Fundamentals preferred.
• Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Windows Server, and basic familiarity with MacOS or Linux.
• Networking: Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN connectivity.
• Hardware: Ability to swap hardware components (RAM, hard drives) and troubleshoot local and networked printers.

Core Competencies
• Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly and professionally.
• Reliability: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Discretion: Must maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive company data and user information.
• Compliance and Security Awareness: familiarity with SOC2 or basic data encryption standards.

This morning, our President & CEO, Jeff Bonnett, enjoyed spending time with Mrs. Sams’ 2nd Grade class at Havana New Central School as part of the Adopt A Classroom program.

Mr. Bonnett shared a fun personal story with the class. As a 4th grader, he first walked through the doors of Havana National Bank and remembered thinking it would be a fun place to work someday. Years later, that small thought turned into a lifelong career.

We are grateful for opportunities like this to connect with students, support our schools, and invest in the future of our community. We are excited to continue participating in this program in the years ahead!

Our President & CEO Jeff Bonnett addressed several pressing issues with Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs during the Community Bankers Association of IL Capital Conference held in Springfield. Bank leaders across the state presented strong impact statements to many Illinois legislators and state officials in ongoing efforts to protect consumers and the financial services industry from harmful legislation. Many thanks to Jeff, the other HNB staff who attended, and fellow engaged bankers for strengthening Illinois businesses and fighting for our customers!
