Come out to the Piney Woods Picnic 2016 this weekend! We will be providing ATM service all weekend. The Piney Woods Picnic was established to create awareness for preservation of the Bouie and Leaf Rivers, and the American music deeply rooted in the region right through the “birthplace of rock and roll.” Through social media, seminars, events and an annual two day festival in the early fall, we intend to reach out to the general population offering information on how to enhance environmental and economic revitalization through organizations like the Land Trust of the Mississippi Coastal Plains and the support of local musicians. Here are a few simple tips that will help keep you and you identity safe while using an ATM:
1. Come prepared. Have your card ready and avoid fumbling through your wallet or purse.
2. Stay aware of your surroundings. Attitude and demeanor are important, so walk purposefully to the ATM and stay cognizant of your environment especially at night.
3. Protect your PIN!! Keep your PIN a secret do not share it with anyone! A large portion of of card theft is actually caused by friends, family or significant others.
4. Complete your transaction and leave. After your transaction is finished, make sure you have your card and receipt and walk away.
