Because at the end of the day, a mortgage is a loan—but homeownership is so much more than a transaction.

A little crawfish, a little New Orleans, and a whole lot of teamwork.

After enjoying a crawfish boil with our friends at Mississippi River Bank in Belle Chasse, LA, some team members from Canvas Mortgage, CannaFirst Financial, and Merchants & Marine Bank headed to The Peacock Room for an evening filled with great food, plenty of laughs, and even better company.

We spend our days working together to serve our customers and communities, but it's moments like these that remind us why we enjoy doing it. Strong teams are built on trust, respect, and genuine friendships, and we're grateful to have all three.

David met with our friends and colleagues at Merchants & Marine Bank to showcase support for this incredible event. We are thankful for organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club that offer opportunities to our young leaders where they can thrive. Together, we are helping our communities write their next great story.

Our team had a great time supporting the Hattiesburg Home Builders Association’s Annual Golf Tournament! While we may not have been out there chasing birdies, we were cruising the course, keeping golfers fueled up with snacks, drinks, and plenty of good vibes. Proud to be part of such a great event and an even better community!

Camp Canvas was one for the books!

Every spring, Canvas Mortgage brings the team together for our Annual Spring Meeting. This year, we took it to camp. From a fun, summer camp vibe to meaningful conversations and hands-on learning, Camp Canvas was all about sharpening our skills, strengthening our team, and finding new ways to better serve our customers.

We left inspired, recharged, and more committed than ever to delivering the outstanding service we’re known for as we help more people purchase or refinance a home. The future is bright—and we’re just getting started.

Meet our Canvas Mortgage Pet of the Month 🐾 — Finn!

Finn is an 8-year-old Miniature Labradoodle and the loyal sidekick of Joe, our Operations Manager. When he’s not playing ball or soaking up snuggles with the family, you’ll find him keeping a close eye on the very suspicious cats in his yard.

While he’s not a fan of those cats (or his Dachshund roommate), Finn is a big fan of being by Joe’s side at all times.

As Joe says, “He’s the sweetest boy and attached to me the instant we brought him home. He’s my constant companion.” ❤️
