When I’m not helping people with their insurance plans, I’m usually in the wrestling room coaching the Harvard Wrestling Club.
Wrestling is one of the toughest sports there is. It teaches discipline, accountability, and how to push through when things get hard — lessons I took from the sport that go far beyond the mat.
It’s awesome watching these young athletes put in the work, grow their confidence, and support each other as a team.
Proud to be part of a great group of coaches, parents, and hardworking kids. Good Luck to all the qualifiers including my daughter Tinley who will be competing this weekend. I look forward to being mat side with all these kids.
Edit: as of 6pm tonight, our number has increased to 20 STATE QUALIFIERS!!
Alternate Mateo Cruz (120lbs Bantam) has been entered into the Tournment!!! New graphic coming tomorrow!
🔥 19 STATE QUALIFIERS! 🔥
The Harvard Wrestling Club is heading to the biggest stage of the year with 19 IKWF State Qualifiers! This is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and toughness these wrestlers have shown all season long. Earning a spot at the IKWF State Championship means you are among the best youth wrestlers in the entire state of Illinois.
📍 Location: Peoria Civic Center
🗓 Wrestling Begins: Friday at 9:00 AM
🏆 State Championship Finals: Saturday at 3:00 PM
Adding to an already special weekend, we’re incredibly proud that Harvard Wrestling Club’s own David Brady will serve as the Grand Marshal for the Parade of Champions on Saturday — a tremendous honor for someone who has given so much to our program and the sport of wrestling.
Let’s pack the stands, wear your black and gold, and cheer on our Hornets as they battle on the state stage! 🐝🖤💛
Good luck to all 19 of our state qualifiers — we’re proud of you!
