If you can attend, this weekend’s Festival of the Cranes is a great opportunity to celebrate and learn about everything our very own National Wildlife Refuge has to offer!

Tuesday's waterfowl survey found 38,000 ducks; 2,300 geese; 23,000 sandhill cranes, and at least 16 whooping cranes on the refuge.

I’m so fortunate to call these great men my colleagues! They are all mentors and we are losing two of the best ever of them to retirement at the end of this year. I can’t express how fortunate I am to have very personal relationships with each of them! Iron sharpens iron, and thank each of you for making a very positive contribution to my life and making me who I am today!
