CT IFS is a statewide initiative of the MetroHartford Alliance comprised of 32 member companies in Connecticut’s insurance and financial services sector.

More than 112,000 Connecticut residents are also the talented employees of IFS companies that reside within the Insurance Capital: they work tirelessly on behalf of their customers and clients, and innovate for their organizations to drive progress and growth. CT IFS is a business association for the industry statewide, and we are engaged in workforce development, business attraction and retention to the state, and public advocacy.

Earlier this week, HYPE (Hartford Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs) and other MetroHartford Alliance initiatives held its 12th annual Get Hired at the CT Science Center, where over 300 registrants from 75 colleges and universities met with 29 employers in the insurance, financial, and medical fields.

Applications are open for CT Insurance and Financial Services' 14th annual Actuarial Boot Camp! This intensive and interactive one-week program for high school students and college freshmen shows participants the ropes of the profession and preps them for an actuarial exam.

This year's program will be hosted in two sessions by The Hartford. Sessions are limited to 20 students each and the application deadline is June 8.
