It was great to have The Punk Rock Farmer as our guest speaker for this years annual meeting. Thank you Jonathan Lawler for coming and for all you do in promoting agricultural literacy and advocacy.

Many thanks to Blackford County Farm Bureau for the invite to speak at their Annual Meeting. I really enjoy meeting and talking with other farmers and those who share a passion for Agriculture! Very excited to hear about their Ag in the Classroom program and the partnership they’ve built with the Blackford FFA Chapter.

Interested in using a drone for your farm or business? Did you know that you are required by law to have a remote pilot certification to use a drone for business? Even if you are nonprofit, you need to be certified if using a drone for business. Purdue Extension will be holding a UAV training August 24th and 26th at the Davis Purdue Ag Center, 6230 IN-1, Farmland, IN. Cost is $200 per person. When completed, you are prepared to pass the FAA knowledge exam. We have a 95% pass rate with over 250 pilots trained! Call Blackford County Extension at 765-348-3213 if you have questions.
