We've been made aware of a common scam going on in the bail bonds industry. Scammers are calling friends/family of a defendant stating they are a deputy/sergeant from the local county jail and they can have the defendant released with only paying "x" amount and allowing them to bypass the bail bonding process. NO deputy or sergeant will ever call from any county jail requesting funds to have an inmate released. I felt the need to share this after I had another customer inform me they fell for it, loosing $1,500.
