A recent office Dip-Off Contest brought out some serious contenders, plenty of taste-testing, and a lot of debate over what makes the perfect dip.

🪙 Heads up, Maryland! Effective tomorrow, May 19th, a new penny rounding law is in effect.

If you pay with cash, here's what changes:
👇 Ends in 1 or 2 cents = rounds DOWN
👆 Ends in 3 or 4 cents = rounds UP
💳 Card payments = no change at all

☀️ It’s a perfect day for Hampstead Day!

Our team is out on Main Street today for the 52nd Annual Hampstead Day, one of our favorite community traditions of the year. From food trucks and live music to local vendors and kids activities, it’s such a fun day to celebrate this amazing community.

Stop by our booth to spin the wheel, grab a piggy bank or baseball, and say hi to the team! We’ve loved seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new neighbors, and of course getting visits from lots of adorable dogs today too 🐶💚

As summer break approaches, many local children lose access to the breakfasts and lunches they rely on during the school year.

That’s why Farmers & Merchants Bank is proud to support the Carroll County Realtors Community Outreach Canned Fruit & Cereal Drive through Friday, June 12.

Donation boxes are available at our Westminster, Eldersburg, Hampstead and Reisterstown locations.

Most needed items include:
• Canned fruit
• Cereal
• Oatmeal packets
• Granola bars & breakfast bars
• Applesauce & fruit cups

Small donations can make a big difference for local families this summer. ❤️

At Farmers & Merchants Bank, Casual for a Cause gives our team the chance to swap business attire for denim while supporting organizations making a real difference in the communities we call home.

For our April Casual for a Cause Community Spotlight, our team raised $750 for Pathfinders for Autism 💚

Pathfinders for Autism provides resources, support, and guidance to individuals and families navigating autism across Maryland. We’re honored to support an organization doing such meaningful work for so many families in our community.

A huge thank you to our employees for showing up, giving back, and helping make an impact beyond the walls of our branches and offices.

Last Friday, some of our team got out of the office and onto the lanes for the Hampstead Merchants Association's Biz Bowl 🎳

There may have been a few gutter balls, a few lucky strikes, and a lot of trash talk along the way 😄

We had a great time connecting with other local businesses and being part of another fun community event. Thanks to the Hampstead Business Association for hosting a great night!
