We are happy to present an opportunity to acquire the inventory, assets, and modestly valued goodwill (if desired) of an established brand that has been operating in West Michigan for over a decade.

The forefront of this business as it stands today is in the gaming and trading card space. The seller an avid collector himself would like to part ways with his storefront inventory (roughly $120k in value) but has amassed an incredible collection of Magic The Gathering, Pokemon, Lorcana, and Yu-Gi-Oh cards which would allow him to act as in “in house” supplier along with the other industry vendors he maintains relationships with. A dedicated group of enthusiasts have come to know this shop well and regularly attend events in the space.

In addition to gaming cards this opportunity includes cost basis inventory in excess of $150k in departments such as disc golf, blankets, artisanal glass, patches, and more.

For more than 20 years Michael Greengard has been the steady guiding force behind Praxis Business Brokers and today we have the opportunity to honor and thank him as we formally announce his retirement from the firm. If you have had the opportunity to work with Mike over the years you will know first-hand the pleasure he has taken in his work and the incredible source of knowledge he is. As a broker, owner, and founder Mike has “practiced what he preached” in putting the client first with a passion for helping people and an incredible enthusiasm for the intricacies of deal making.

Over the years the business landscape has changed and the firm has adapted with varying markets, lending strategies, and emerging technologies but the bedrock of really caring for Praxis clients has remained unchanged. To truly care for people and their stories is what has allowed Praxis to serve more than 350 clients, a feat that we attribute to the leadership of Mike whether he was active in the transaction or not.

The succession of the firm began in 2020 with Ryan Johnson joining the firm. Having just married into the family via Mike's daughter Meredith; Ryan joined Praxis from the world of real estate and began his tutelage under Mike. Over the years Mike and Ryan worked many deals alongside each other with complimentary skillsets and it is with those years of tutelage Ryan gained a real passion for the art of business brokerage and deal making.

In 2024 the partnership was solidified with Ryan becoming a formal partner and the legacy of the firm was officially established. Now as of 2026 with Mike’s retirement we are able to announce that Praxis Business Brokers has truly become a second generation firm.

The core principles the firm was founded on remain intact as do the many teachings of Mike not only through Ryan but the other brokers at the firm all of whom have learned many valuable skills and lessons from the firm's founder. While Mike transitions into retirement from the active duties as an owner and broker we know that he will remain a resource to the firm and those he has assisted over the years.

It is with incredible gratitude we thank and honor Mike for all that he has done for the industry, clients, and firm.
