Happy First Day of Fall!🍂
Cold weather is coming whether we are ready or not, so make sure you are prepared!

Here is a list of things to add to your fall home-prep checklist:

✔️ Check your furnace – Have your heating system inspected and replace your filter if needed.
✔️ Protect your pipes – Insulate exposed pipes and disconnect garden hoses from outdoor faucets.
✔️ Clean those gutters – Remove leaves and debris so water can drain properly and help prevent ice dams and water damage.
✔️ Inspect your roof – Look for missing, damaged, or loose shingles before snow and ice arrive.
✔️ Check your trees – Trim dead or weak branches that could fall during strong winds, snow, or ice.
✔️ Seal up drafts – Check doors and windows for gaps and replace worn weatherstripping or caulking.
✔️ Have your chimney inspected – If you use a fireplace or wood stove, make sure it’s clean and ready for the season.
✔️ Test your smoke & carbon monoxide detectors – Fresh batteries and working detectors can make a big difference.
✔️ Review your homeowners insurance – Fall is also a great time to make sure your coverage still fits your home and belongings.

A question I get often is... Do I NEED insurance on my Camper or Trailer? I am here to help answer that question! 🙋‍♀️
Here's a quick guide from your local insurance agent:

✅ If You Have a Loan or Lease
Lenders require you to carry Comprehensive & Collision coverage to protect their financial interest in the camper or trailer.

✅ No Loan?
Ask yourself: Would you want coverage to repair or replace your camper or trailer if it's damaged?
Comprehensive & Collision coverage can help protect your investment from things like:
🌳 Falling trees
🔥 Fire
🌨️ Storm damage
🚗 Accidents and collisions

✅ No Separate Camper/Trailer Insurance?
That's okay! When you're towing your camper or trailer with an insured vehicle, your vehicle's liability coverage generally extends to the trailer while it's attached and being towed.

However, without physical damage coverage:
❌ No coverage if a tree falls on the trailer
❌ No coverage if you back into a pole and damage it
❌ No coverage if it's stolen or damaged by weather

💡 The real question is: If something happened to your camper or trailer tomorrow, would you be comfortable paying out of pocket to repair or replace it?
