Summer has officially kicked off at CRG.

This week, we traded the usual office routine for something a little better — a fresh coffee bar to start the morning, lunch off the grill, and an afternoon yoga session to reset before heading back to it.

Days like this are a reminder of what makes CRG, CRG. Great work starts with great people, and great people deserve a place that invests in them, not just on the big days, but in the small ones too.

Here's to the team that shows up every day, supports each other, and makes CRG a team we're proud to be part of, because the work we do matters, and it starts with the people doing it. Bring on summer.

Preparedness on paper is one thing. Response in real time is another.

Bridging that distance is the focus of our upcoming webinar with Gabriel Protects, Time to Care: Real-Time Response for Real-World Situations.

It's a free, practical session for safety directors, HR leaders, school administrators, and facility managers — the people who need to act when the unexpected happens, not just plan for it.

We'll cover the common gaps in emergency workflows, the role of real-time communication in coordination and care, and how CRG and Gabriel work together to help organizations respond with clarity.

What does successful Alyssa’s Law implementation actually look like in practice?

Join Critical Response Group, Raptor Technologies, and school safety leaders from across Virginia for a discussion on how districts are strengthening emergency response through panic alert technology, accurate indoor mapping, and coordinated response planning.

This webinar will feature real-world perspectives from school and public safety stakeholders actively implementing these solutions and navigating Virginia’s evolving school safety requirements.

The discussion will cover lessons learned from Alyssa’s Law implementation efforts, including how school districts are approaching panic alert technology, interoperable indoor mapping, and coordinated emergency response workflows. Speakers will share how schools and first responders can build a common operating picture during critical incidents, along with best practices for improving communication, situational awareness, and response coordination across campuses.

As more states advance school safety legislation, districts are looking beyond compliance alone and focusing on solutions that support communication, coordination, and faster decision-making during critical incidents.

Last year, West Virginia passed HB 3166, giving counties across the state the opportunity to select a mapping provider for their K-12 emergency response mapping initiatives.

Time and time again, they chose Critical Response Group.

Today, CRG supports K-12 emergency response mapping in 40 of West Virginia’s 55 counties, representing more than 75% of schools statewide.

What makes that meaningful is that every county had a choice. Districts evaluated multiple options and trusted CRG to help meet one of the nation’s highest standards for school safety mapping.

HB 3166 requires verified floor plans, on-site walkthroughs, law enforcement approval, and compatibility with the public safety platforms first responders already use.

But the real differentiator isn’t a feature list. It’s the work behind the maps.

Our team is dedicated to making every map accurate through on-site walkthroughs, while bringing school leaders, law enforcement, and public safety teams around a table to strengthen coordination before an emergency ever happens.

To every superintendent, safety director, emergency manager, 911 director and law enforcement leader in West Virginia who trusted CRG this year: thank you.

In an emergency, every second a dispatcher spends trying to locate a 911 caller inside a school, stadium, or hospital is a second taken from the response. Real-time indoor location isn't a nice-to-have anymore — it's essential.

Join Critical Response Group and our partners at RapidDeploy (Motorola Solutions) for a live webinar on May 12th at 2:00 PM EST. We'll walk through a realistic 911 scenario from start to finish and show how verified indoor maps give PSAPs the situational awareness they need, the moment they need it.

In this virtual training exercise, you'll:
✅ Learn how to effectively integrate indoor maps into PSAP technology
✅ Walk through a real-life emergency and gain insight into best practices to streamline response
✅ See how the CRG and RapidDeploy partnership works in action
✅ Discover how integrated indoor floor plans drive multi-jurisdictional interoperability

Don't miss this opportunity to see how your agency can transform emergency response.

For years, our mission has been simple: give every school in America the most accurate emergency response maps possible.

Across 85,000 maps, one thing became clear: emergency response was only part of what schools needed from us.

The same schools that trust us with their emergency response maps were still drawing parent pickup flows in PowerPoint, sketching teacher room assignments in Canva, and cropping event layouts from Google Maps. Inconsistent. Out of date. Not built on real mapping data.

So today, we're putting our accurate, verified mapping data behind every map a school needs, not just the emergency ones.

🎉 Introducing Map Builder — now live inside the CRG Portal and available for free to all active CRG customers.

Any staff member can use the same professional-grade building footprints, property boundaries, and interior layouts that power our emergency response maps to build any map their school needs, in minutes, not hours.

✅ Fire evacuation routes & assembly areas
✅ Emergency reunification plans
✅ Shelter-in-place, lockdown & drill maps
✅ Parent pickup & drop-off flows
✅ Teacher and staff assignment maps
✅ Open house, graduation & event navigation
✅ Construction zone & facilities maps

Drag-and-drop simple. No design skills needed. No additional software required. Layer controls that let you share the right detail with the right audience.

Unlimited custom maps for schools. The same emergency response maps first responders trust. One Common Operating Picture, endless possibilities.
