Good morning and Happy Thursday. I just wanted to relay a message that was received from our Gunnison Chamber of Commerce Director.......
"We have awesome businesses that need our help with support. West of the bridge, these locations are experiencing cancelations for what is normally their season with a mid-May start and lasting into September or so. All of these locations offer easy access to hiking, to the lake, to fishing, boating, hanging at the "beach"...."

Some of the wonderful businesses in Blue Mesa area include:
Sapinero Village Campground
Blue Mesa Outpost
Lake Fork Marina & Campgrounds
Arrowhead Mountain Lodge and Adventure Rentals
Oasis RV Resort
Thousand Trails Recreational Ranch

The County Road 26 detour is allowing people to get around the middle bridge. Officials have done an amazing job maintaining the road. The detour only takes you about 30-40 minutes out of route (travel windows below)......and it is a beautiful drive! So, get the word out!

Westbound: 6:30am, 12pm, 6:30pm, 8:30pm
Eastbound: 7:30am, 1pm, 7:30pm, 9:30pm

Time to mark your calendars! The 2024 Summer Forecast is going down on Friday, May 10th from 5-7pm. This will be a great chance to get information on upcoming events in the Gunnison Valley. There will be many organizations on hand to speak with, as well as food, live music, and stuff for the kiddos. AND there will be a silent auction with incredible items up for grabs!
