NOW HIRING FOR ALL COUNTIES IN MISSISSIPPI
We are seeking SOLICITING BAIL AGENTS to go to jails and police departments in order to secure the release of people accused of committing a crime.
In order to qualify to be a bail agent, you must complete the 40 pre license education course at one of the Mississippi Department of Insurance approved education providers.
While we do offer the required education course, you may take the course from any provider approved by the DOI. For information on the courses we offer, go to www.msbti.com
Bail bonding is a very competitive field and the more an agent makes themselves available for calls, the more income they produce.
We encourage husband/wife Agent teams.
Military veterans welcome.
Persons with physical disabilities welcome.
We are NOT currently looking for any dedicated bounty hunters. Bounty hunting is a necessary part of the job but it is not our primary job.
To be a bail agent you must be proficient in or able to learn how to:
Use computer programs and internet based programs.
Have clear handwriting and communication skills.
Be self motivated and work unsupervised for the majority of the time.
Communicate with inmates to gather information necessary to determine risk.
Determine whether or not an inmate is a substantial flight risk or risk to other people. (We do not bond everyone that calls).
Call and speak to an inmate’s family and friends in order to make financial and other arrangements for their release.
Keep track of clients that the agent has bonded until they have completed court.
Notify clients of upcoming court dates and changes.
Appear in court with and/or on behalf of clients.
Be willing to locate people for the purposes of taking them back to jail when necessary. (AKA Bounty Hunt)
Compensation:
Agents are self employed and work on a commission basis. The agent that goes to the jail and writes the bond makes a percentage of the money collected. Percentages are determined based on the amount of experience or the amount of general knowledge the agent has. The percentage amount raises fairly quickly based on how quickly the agent learns the job and learns how to determine risk.
Requirements:
Agents are self employed, therefore are not required to put in a certain amount of hours or report at certain times. However, Agents will be required to report to the office in D’Iberville once per week to turn in paperwork and files until we open an office location closer to the Agent’s area.
Agents must have their own cellphone
Agents must have a phone or device that allows them access to the internet at all times
Agents must have reliable transportation and possess a valid drivers license
Agents must be at least 21 years of age
Agents must pass regular background checks
