My challenge for every female founder this September? 👀

Track all of the hours you work!

Yes, that means the 5 minutes you spent responding to DMs this morning, the 15 minutes you’ll spend creating content later tonight, and all the random admin to-dos that pop up…

Use a time-tracking tool like Clockify, or just keep a running tally in your Notes app. Whatever works for you, just make sure you’re counting ALL of it. 😉

At the end of the month, divide your income by the total hours you worked to find your effective hourly rate.

Then ask yourself: “If this were a job, would I accept this pay?” 🤨

If the answer is no, it may be time to take a closer look at your pricing, services, expenses, or where your time is actually going.

Your April books aren’t going to reconcile themselves.

You’re LYING to yourself (like a lot of other female founders) if you’re constantly thinking things like:

→ I’ll get my bookkeeping set up just as soon as I hit $$$ in sales.

→ I don’t make enough money to pay myself regularly.

→ Once I hit $$$, I’ll finally be successful.

These limiting beliefs keep your business in survival mode (not where I want my clients to be 🙂‍↔️).

You don’t need to keep waiting until *this one magic thing* happens in your business...

But if you’ve been feeling like you need permission, this post is your sign to start running your business like the business you *want* to have in 5 years.

If only QuickBooks worked like this. 😅

One snap and the bank accounts are reconciled. the transactions are categorized, and the reports make sense.

Unfortunately… QuickBooks usually has other plans.

So if you’ve ever opened QuickBooks and hoped your books would magically fix themselves, you are not alone.

Your books can be fixed.
