As harvest gets closer, it is worth taking a minute to look at your livestock coverage. A lot of producers do not realize FSA has programs like the Livestock Forage Disaster Program and the Emergency Livestock Assistance Program built for exactly this kind of situation. Most insurance offices process a policy and move on. Here is what we do differently. We review your production and planting history to flag inconsistent yields or dual planting history before it ever becomes a problem. We complete your acreage reports with you before you go to FSA. And we keep your records on file so if you ever get audited, we have got you covered. It is a lot of behind the scenes work that our clients never have to think about. That is kind of the point.
