Hot take from an insurance agent: there is no such thing as a “best” auto insurance company for everyone.
I see people online constantly saying things like “Progressive is the cheapest” or “Progressive is the ripping me off,” and honestly… both can be true depending on the person.
What might be a fantastic fit for one driver, could be a horrible fit for another. Insurance pricing depends on things like driving history, claims, credit, vehicles, household drivers, location, prior insurance, and more.
That’s why working with an actual licensed agent matters. Buying insurance is not like ordering paper towels on Amazon. Coverage differences matter. Company fit matters. Claims handling matters.
One of the biggest reasons I’m excited about my recent agency move is because I finally have access to more competitive carrier options for my clients, (instead of the 2 I had before) — including Progressive (and many others.) I also have another major national carrier coming soon.
The difference between having only a couple workable options vs. having real market access is HUGE. I can actually shop properly now instead of trying to force everyone into the same boxes.
Also… being at an agency that invests in technology and client experience makes a massive difference too. Things that should be easy for clients SHOULD be easy. Going from an agency with no technology or growth for 4 years to one that is the exact opposite has been life changing for me and for what I can do for my clients now.
