What an incredible few days celebrating the credit union movement! 💙 💛

From September 3 - October 2, several Members Source Credit Union employees and Board Members attended the Indiana Credit Union League Annual Convention in Indianapolis! We enjoyed networking with fellow credit union professionals, connecting with vendors, and learning new ways to better serve our members and communities.

We were also excited to have one employee participate in the Crasher Program, which provides professional development opportunities for credit union professionals, and another employee attended as part of the Ignite Leadership Program, which focuses on developing future leaders within the credit union industry.

We are especially proud to celebrate several outstanding achievements!

🌟 Madelyn Hogan, Operations Manager - Emerging Leadership Award

This award recognizes rising credit union leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential, accomplishments, and dedication to the credit union movement.

🌟 Barry Weiss, Board Secretary - Leadership Achievement Award

This award honors dedicated credit union volunteers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, service, and commitment to the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People."

Both Madelyn and Barry were recognized and gave speeches at the Indiana Credit Union Awards Celebration banquet!

Members Source Credit Union was also honored to receive TWO state-level awards!

🏆 Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award - Recognizes credit unions for outstanding community services, charitable involvement, and their positive impact on the communities they serve.

🏆 Desjardins Youth Financial Literacy Award - Recognizes credit unions for their efforts in education young people about saving, money management, and building strong financial habits.

We are incredibly proud of these accomplishments and grateful for the employees, Board Members, and community partners who make them possible.

This past Sunday, MSCU had the pleasure of attending Exceptional Equestrians Unlimited, Inc. Souper Stride event! 🥣🐴

We are grateful for the opportunity to support an organization that makes such a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families in our community. Seeing people come together to support their mission is a reminder of just how powerful community truly is.

"I’m proud to share that I recently attended the Internal Audit Certification School in Charlotte, NC, hosted by America’s Credit Unions and ACUARP, and earned the Certified Credit Union Internal Auditor (CCUIA) designation!

This experience strengthened my understanding of credit union internal auditing and provided valuable tools to elevate my risk management skills, enhance my auditing expertise, and strengthen my ability to identify and address risk effectively.

Earning the CCUIA designation represents another important step in my professional development and gives me the knowledge, skills, and credibility to continue growing as a highly skilled internal auditor.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with fellow credit union professionals throughout this experience. Here’s to continuing to raise the bar in internal audit and risk management!"
