Mother Teresa travailed in prayer providing compassionate care for many just as Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos who was born in Fussen, Bavaria. He came to the United States as a missionary in New York. Toward the end of his life, he came to New Orleans to minister to victims with yellow fever. He died after contracting same disease. They both are two Saints of God who sacrificed their own lives by showing the deepest compassion toward others. They gave their ultimate sacrifice. Visit St. Mary Assumption Church in New Orleans and pick up a copy of the story of Father Seelos and visit the museum/shrine.
