We have an exciting yet bittersweet announcement for you guys this morning.

This beautiful rendering is currently coming to fruition for Hopper Financial in Hawaii. We love Greer so much but this past winter was a rough one with all the ice and that solidified our decision to move. Don’t worry, we will still be here for approximately another year as our new office is built. We will continue to do business here virtually when we are not on the beach or seeing clients in person in this office. We appreciate your support over the years and will remain very committed to Greer until we make our new home in Hawaii.

Thank you to everyone who attended our monthly Final Friday event this morning. It we great to see the crowd, especially with the rain. It was great to hear from Alison Rauch with Greer CPW with some important information on how to maintain a consistent image on social media. Alison does a fantastic job with her communication and social media roles and we know everyone was excited to learn from her. Make plans to join us for the next Final Friday event on March 27th with Johannes Mutzke with BlueInc Strategies.

We drove to Charlotte yesterday for the annual awards and recognition lunch of our parent firm, Consolidated Planning, Inc.

Being in a satellite location like we are in the City of Greer, SC, it's always energizing to find opportunities to be with colleagues/friends that we don't get to see in person on a regular basis. It was more than worth the drive to celebrate 2025 and be reminded of the literally thousands of families and businesses scattered from Virginia, down to Georgia, and across the country that are served well by our unique approach to financial planning.

You may remember in 2025 Hopper Financial celebrated 10 years of serving our clients and the greater Greer community. Our founding coincided with our affiliation and partnership with Consolidated Planning. We're grateful for the firm's recognition yesterday of Mark's 10 year anniversary.

Looking back on what is now almost 11 years, we're so grateful to have found a firm that aligns with our values, supports our vision to serve our community, provides resources that are second to none, and is built on a planning philosophy to allows us to provide financial balance, clarity, and confidence to our clients that they find nowhere else. Here's to the next 10 years and well beyond with our "CP" family!

After having to postpone January's event due to weather, we're excited to kick off this year's series with Alison Rauch with Greer CPW as she leads us in a discussion on the topic of "Building and Maintaining a Consistent Image". Alison is a great friend to us, a servant of the Greer community in a variety of ways, and has developed a strong professional reputation for her expertise in organizational communication and public relations. You won't want to miss this one!

The event runs 7:30-8:30 a.m. at our office in Greer - plan to join us for a cup of coffee and light breakfast, to make connections with others local owners and leaders, and for a helpful discussion lead by Alison.

It was wonderful to hear from Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis today for our first Faith at Work of 2026. He had us laughing and tearing up as he shared with us his journey to winning election as Greenville County Sheriff in 2020. We appreciate Sheriff Lewis’ leadership and have enjoyed getting to know him a little over the past few years. It’s easy to tell that he’s a genuine man who leads with a Christ-centered focus. Thank you to everyone who was able to join us. Our next event of this series will be Thursday, May 21 so go ahead and mark your calendars!

Due to the condition of our parking lot, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our Final Friday event that was scheduled for tomorrow morning. We were very sad to have to make this decision, but considering we are in the business of helping our clients mitigate risk, it did not feel right to proceed.  We look forward to seeing you all on February 27th for the next one!

The Hopper Financial office will be closed tomorrow, but we will be working from home as long as we have power and Internet. We will be back to regular operations on Tuesday, assuming it is safe to do so.

We do still plan to kick off the new year with our first Final Friday of the year this coming Friday, January 30, so make plans to join us if you are a business owner or business executive in the Greer area. It begins at 7:30 a.m. and Johannes Mutzke with BlueInc Strategies will be our speaker.
