Lake or pool day coming up? Use these guides to prepare now so you can have peace of mind:

Small kids?
🛟 Put a life jacket on them anytime they're around an open body of water, even if they're not in it.
🛟 Never assume! Verbally call out who is watching them.
🛟 Let them know the rules in advance for boating and pools

Boating?
🚤 Know your way home—on the water, who is driving the boat and home.
🚤 Designate a weather-watcher. If you're doing activities without a phone such as kayaking and paddle boarding, check in advance and stay close to the shoreline.
🚤 Be courteous—everyone is there to enjoy the water!

"Fender benders" aren't so minor anymore. With advanced technology in cars like sensors and cameras, many "easy" repairs can be costly. Insurance is there for a reason, but many times drivers can help prevent accidents. Remember to:

- Give plenty of space between you and the car in front.
- In traffic, keep an eye on tail lights and speed of vehicles even in front of the car in front of you to anticipate slowing
- Accelerate slowly and brake sooner
- Stay off phones and devices (remember, it's a law in SC now!)
