I am passionate about serving both women and parents raising the next generation. Women, do you find yourself paralyzed when it comes to financial decisions because of the fear that you'll end up in a place you don't want to be, living with regret? Are you concerned that doing something you enjoy now will force you into unwanted choices down the road? I work with women to take control of their fin
ances and lives. We work together to develop a clear picture of your current and future needs, so that we can understand trade-offs between current priorities and future needs and wants. Then we tackle the "what if" scenarios that cause you the most anxiety- whether long-term care costs or running out of money or something else- so that we can identify strategies to mitigate these. I am passionate about helping women to live life abundantly in the present and with less stress about the future because we want to get the most out of our lives and make them count. Parents, are you navigating the world with a better financial situation than your parents had? Do you wonder how you can raise your children to benefit from the rich opportunities money can afford without ending up with kids who have a sense of entitlement? I help parents who want to prepare their children to be good financial stewards. I work with parents to first apply stewardship principles to their own lives. This is important because our kids listen to what we say (hopefully!) but they also watch what we do. Then I coach and equip parents with talking points to open up discussion with their children and teach them about stewardship. Last, I have assembled a toolbox of ideas we can use to develop a plan for applying these principles with their children. I am passionate about helping parents prepare their children to receive a financial legacy that they can manage wisely to positively impact future generations and the world. I am a fellow traveler in this parenting journey, striving to raise our kids to know the value of money and hard work in the midst of abundance. I firmly believe that how we raise and shape our children will be one of the most impactful things we ever do. After I graduated with my MBA, I spent several years climbing the corporate ladder and taking on more responsibility. I enjoyed the analytical rigor and being able to develop the people who were on my team, but it became more and more difficult to be a mom who was present and involved in my sons' lives. I knew that the next rung on the ladder would consume even more of my time and cause me to miss out on school events and soccer games. I grappled with finding a career direction that would enable me to be the mom I wanted to be while also continuing to grow professionally. Things came to a head when my boss, whom I loved, called me while I was on my second maternity leave to tell me she was resigning. I knew the time had come to make a change. As I started looking for new opportunities, it quickly became apparent that I was going to take a significant pay cut. This caused me to reflect on what would be a worthy trade-off for the decrease, and I concluded that time freedom and flexibility were most important to me. But my light bulb moment didn't come until I was at a funeral and seated beside a female financial advisor. As I shared with her my journey of exploring new opportunities, she encouraged me to consider becoming a financial advisor. I took the leap to make the career change, and now I get to help others to develop the financial freedom to focus on what matters most to them. After working hard the first several years to build my business, I have been able to have lunch with my kids at school, chaperone field trips, and cheer them on at their sports games. Women, are you ready to take the next step toward the freedom to enjoy today and know that you've got a strategy for your tomorrows? Parents, are you ready to work with someone who shares in the vision of preparing the next generation for good stewardship? Send me a message and I'll reach out to set up a 10-minute phone call to hear your story and identify your next step.
