I love making pottery in my spare time, and it struck me how much the process reminds me of getting a mortgage.
At first, it looks simple enough, just a lump of clay on a wheel. But behind every finished piece is a lot of preparation, the right tools, adjustments along the way, and someone guiding the process to keep everything on track.
The mortgage process is pretty similar.
Every borrower starts with a unique situation. Some need a little shaping, some need a different approach, and no two loans are exactly alike. The goal isn’t to force everyone into the same mold, it’s to find the right fit and help create something that works for them.
And just like pottery, things can get a little messy in the middle. But with the right guidance, patience, and attention to detail, you end up with something solid that was worth the effort.
Whether you’re buying your first home, moving up, or just exploring your options, finding the right lender can make all the difference.
