Too often, plans get built once and left on the shelf: set it and forget it. Meanwhile, life keeps moving. Markets shift, tax laws change, families or goals evolve.

Here are a few gaps that can quietly be causing issues or setbacks without you realizing:
• Beneficiaries that haven’t been updated.
• Accounts that overlap or have drifted from your risk level.
• No strategy for which accounts to draw from first in retirement.
• No plan for a long-term care needs.
• Idle cash quietly losing ground to inflation.

None of these feel urgent until suddenly… they are.

At Wealth Haus, we believe in being proactive, not reactive. Your plan should be a working model of your financial life, revisited, stress-tested, and updated as your life changes. It shouldn’t be a document that collects dust.

When was the last time someone took a real look at yours? Schedule a conversation at wealth.haus today.

Ever wonder where the name Wealth Haus came from?

It's the meeting point of two industries. In the '70s, Greg's father started J. Greg Allen Homes and Allen Commercial Group. Decades later, Greg and Clint each spent more than ten years inside the big broker-dealer world of wealth management.

Along the way they kept hearing the same thing from clients: they wanted access to alternative investments such as real estate.

So they built the bridge. Wealth Haus is a home for traditional wealth management and planning, plus a platform for alternative investments.

Special thanks to Rachel Patterson for helping us bring the name and brand to life.

Many firms treat tax-loss harvesting as a year-end checkbox. At Wealth Haus, we look for opportunities throughout the year, because market dips don't wait for December.

Tax-loss harvesting
When an investment drops below what you paid for it, selling it locks in a loss you can use to offset gains elsewhere in your portfolio. If your losses exceed your gains, up to $3,000 a year can offset ordinary income, and anything left over carries forward to future years. The proceeds get reinvested so you stay invested in the market, while keeping the tax benefit.

Direct indexing
Most people own an index through a single fund. If the index is up for the year, there's no loss to harvest, even though dozens of the stocks inside it may be down. Direct indexing means owning the individual stocks themselves, which creates many more opportunities to harvest losses one stock at a time.

Over time, these strategies can help you keep more of what your portfolio earns. It's one more way we do things different at Wealth Haus.

Accredited investor. Qualified purchaser. They sound similar, but they open different doors.

Accredited investor
Generally, you qualify with $200k +in individual income ($300K+ joint) for the past two years, a net worth over $1M not counting your primary residence, or certain professional licenses (Series 7, 65, or 82). This status opens the door to many private investments: private equity, venture capital, real estate funds, and other alternatives not offered to the general public.

Qualified purchaser
This is the next tier. Generally, it means owning $5M+ in investments, not just net worth. That distinction matters, because your home and your operating business usually don't count. Qualified purchaser status can open access to a broader set of private funds, including many that accredited investors alone can't join.

Here’s why it matters - many families already qualify for one or both and don't realize it. Business owners in particular often cross these thresholds after a strong year, a liquidity event, or a sale. Knowing where you stand is the first step to deciding whether alternative investments belong in your plan, and how much.

More access isn't automatically better. Private investments come with less liquidity, less transparency, and more risk. The goal isn't to own everything you qualify for. It's to build a strategy that fits what you've built.

When was the last time someone planned your taxes 20 years from now?

Your CPA looks back. They make sure last year is filed correctly and that you pay what you owe, and nothing more.

A CFP® professional looks ahead. They plan how your money moves over decades so the total you pay over your lifetime is lower.

Sometimes those two goals conflict. A Roth conversion, for example, can raise this year's tax bill and still reduce what you pay over your lifetime.

Taxes are often the largest expense in retirement. The order you draw from taxable, tax-deferred, and tax-free accounts can matter as much as how much you've saved.

It's not CPA or CFP®. The best outcome is both, working together: your CPA files the return, your planner designs the strategy, and everyone builds from the same blueprint.

Ready to create a comprehensive tax strategy? Give us a call (317) 883-5526 today.

We had a great day at the Johnson County Community Foundation golf outing, and we're happy to say our team brought home the win!

Thank you to JCCF for a great event supporting the community. It was an honor for Wealth Haus, J Greg Allen Homes, and Allen Commercial to sponsor and be apart of it.

Wealth Haus exists for one reason: building alternative wealth strategies for family capital.

The families we work with built something long before they met us. A business, a legacy, a life's
work. They don't need a product pushed at them.

They need a team that listens to their story first
and builds strategy second.

That's why we do things differently. We challenge the conventional approach to wealth management
rather than conform to it, and we stay curious about what's possible for each family we serve.

For business owners, families, and individuals across the US, that means looking at the full picture:
● Wealth management and financial planning, including access to private market strategies
for eligible investors
● Tax planning with a long-term lens
● Estate planning
● Business planning for owners

From the first hello to the last handshake, you should feel the difference. And we meet you where
you want to be met, whether you want us to manage everything or simply want a second set of eyes
on your plan.

Your capital deserves a strategy as unique as the story behind it. Let's build it together. Visit wealth.haus to get started.

It's common to think "financial planning" means picking stocks and watching a portfolio. But a real plan covers a lot more ground, and most people are missing pieces without realizing it.

Here's what a complete plan can include:

Wealth management: Growing and managing your investments with a strategy built around your goals, not a generic model. For eligible investors, that can also include access to private market strategies.

Tax planning: Looking beyond this year's tax bill to how today's decisions shape your taxes in retirement and beyond.

Estate planning: Making sure what you've built goes where you want it to, without unnecessary delays or costs. We take the friction out of passing it on by handling your foundational documents in house: a revocable trust, last will and testament, medical directives, and financial power of attorney, for a fraction of what you'd typically pay an attorney.

Business planning: Buy-sell funding and key person coverage for the business owners among you.
A real plan connects all of these pieces into one strategy working together, not a set of separate boxes to check.

And you don't have to move your investments to get started. We meet you where you want to be met.
Not sure what you're missing? Reach out today or visit wealth.haus to get started.

Last week, Wealth Haus hosted our very first event called Coffee and Connections that is put on by Aspire Johnson County.

We built this firm on relationships, and there's no better way to start than welcoming you into our space.

Thank you to the business owners, neighbors, and community leaders who stopped by. Being part of a chamber that brings Johnson County businesses together means a lot to us.
