"Strength doesn't come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't do." — Rikki Rogers

Life is not easy. Life is an endurance sport. To bear the fruits of this life, we must put in the necessary work, even if we don’t want to, and do it consistently. Life is about showing up no matter how we feel. If we stop showing up, we start to decline.

In the physical realm, inertia is the tendency to stay the same – an object at rest stays at rest, and an object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon. When left alone, things drift towards stillness and stagnation.

The same is true in our lives.

Inertia is the pull toward comfort, ease, and inaction. It’s skipping the workout. Delaying the decision. Putting off the plan. Over time, small moments of inaction quietly compound into stagnation.

Progress doesn’t disappear all at once. It fades when we stop applying force.

If our body feels sluggish, that’s inertia—move anyway.

If our finances feel stuck, that’s inertia—take a step anyway. Save, adjust, simplify, or act.

We don’t need perfect conditions. We need to apply force in the right direction.

Inertia is always working against us. Our job is to work against it and disrupt it.
