Belpointe Fixed Income Alternatives

Belpointe Fixed Income Alternatives Investments that either partially or fully protect principal, that offer greater upside opportunity than traditional, coupon bonds.

The golden era for traditional bonds may be closing. This page explores alternatives to traditional, coupon-based bonds. These alternatives may be bonds that offer a return based on stock index or a commodity's performance. Or, they may be special types of fixed income, such as floating rate notes or collateralized loan obligations. In some instances the issuer may offer full principal protection,

i.e. regardless of circumstances, they promise minimally a full return of capital at maturity. In others, principal may be at risk. Those that ask the investor to accept greater risk to principal, typically have greater potential for gains. As with all bonds, it is important to remember that terms (promises) are only as good as the entity making the promise. Credit and its associated default risk is always present. In short - every investment can lose money.
