Greenwald, a small town of about 200 people in western Stearns County, got its name from the German word for forest — because the land was heavily wooded when settlers arrived in 1907.

Our very own Angie Fuechtmann was the lucky winner, through the Big I Minnesota, of a $500 donation to a non-profit of her choice. Angie chose a non-profit near and dear to her heart, Ivy's Legacy Foundation based out of Sauk Centre. Pictured is Angie handing the donation to board member, Heidi Leach. Big thank you to the Ivy's Legacy Foundation for continuing to support local families in need!

A reminder to our customers that mail checks to pay their insurance, please mail the payment a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the due date. The US Postal Service seems to take longer than expected. This will ensure your payment is received on time and you will not be penalized for a late payment. Or you can call us to make a payment using an electronic check. This payment option is normally free and will pay the companies instantly. Call us with any questions!

Greenwald Ins. Agency, along with Grinnell Mutual, has named Rylie Frieler of Melrose, MN, as one of 80 recipients of a 2026 Road to Success scholarship for $1,000.
“We are happy to recognize Rylie’s academic accomplishments and safe driving record with a Road to Success Scholarship, and we wish Rylie the very best in his future endeavors,” said Ruth Heinen, agent at Greenwald Ins. Agency.
Rylie was selected from thousands of Grinnell Mutual policyholders based on excellence in the classroom and a safe driving record. Rylie is a 2026 graduate of Melrose Area High School.
