As you may already be aware, Jason Bateman, your agent at Hightower Insurance Agency, recently passed away. During this difficult time, we want to extend our deepest condolences to Jason's family and express our respect for the years of dedication he brought to the business and to serving you as a valued customer.

In light of this recent event, we have stepped in to manage the book of business from Hightower Insurance Agency. This means that your existing insurance policies will now be managed by South Carolina Insurance Brokers. We were able to make this transition alongside Jason and he asked to leave some words with his customer base that he cared so much for.

With hurricane season underway, it's important to ensure your home stays safe and sound! 🌦️

Here are some tips to prepare your property for the season:

🏠 Check your area's hurricane history and floodplain zone to understand local wind and water hazards.

🏠 Create or update your evacuation plan, making sure everyone knows it. Set up group texts for efficient communication.

🏠 Keep a list and a two-week supply of all medications, anticipating pharmacy closures.

🏠 Be ready to evacuate, with a “go bag” that includes food/water for at least three days, flashlights/batteries, and a first aid kit. Also, include cash and copies of key documents in waterproof bags.

🏠 Be prepared to shelter in place with sufficient food, water, and supplies for a week.

🏠 Consult with your agent to ensure your insurance coverage is adequate and up-to-date.
