Navigation Planning Group You don't need another Advisor. You need a Financial Architect. Real plans. Real results. Let’s build your financial future.

I help with life insurance, tax-free retirement, Medicare, disability, health plans, estate planning, and business strategies. With over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, I've witnessed firsthand how money shapes our career paths, living situations, and sense of self. Unfortunately, conversations about finances within families often remain shrouded by cultural and psychological barriers. My passion lies in empowering clients to overcome financial limitations while navigating the unpredictable nature of economic landscapes. I am committed to guiding individuals of all ages and financial backgrounds toward the attainment and preservation of wealth, emphasizing the importance of holistic self-care and emotional well-being. The satisfaction of witnessing families strengthen their financial foundations is unparalleled. On a personal level, marrying my high school sweetheart, who transitioned from banking to prioritizing family, remains my most fulfilling decision. Together, we are blessed with five beautiful children, three boys, and two girls. Beyond my professional endeavors, I cherish moments spent with loved ones, whether soaring through the skies, riding ATVs, or pounding the pavement on my daily run. Let’s start a conversation about shaping your ideal life.

We celebrated National Dessert Day last week and went all in, cake, cheesecake, the whole spread. And honestly? Moments like this are exactly why we don’t skip our health, dental, and vision coverage. All that sugar is a dentist’s best friend. 😅 But real talk, these are the coverages you actually use, the cleanings, the eye exams, the check-ups that catch little things before they turn into big ones. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Good planning is just what lets you enjoy it without the worry. How did you celebrate dessert day?

Your whole financial plan might just be hoping nothing bad ever happens. That’s not a plan, that’s a prayer. We spend so much energy growing our money, but one bad day, a job loss, an illness, an injury, can wipe it out if you’re not protected. That’s what this week was about. Life insurance, disability, long-term care, health coverage. None of it is exciting, but it’s what keeps one bad day from erasing everything you built. Growing your money matters. Protecting it is what keeps you from starting over. What’s your plan if something goes wrong?

Quick question: do you know who’s actually listed as the beneficiary on your life insurance and retirement accounts? A lot of people don’t, and it matters more than you’d think. Your policy pays exactly who’s named, no matter what’s changed in your life. An ex-spouse, a parent who’s passed, a child you meant to add. Life changes, but that form doesn’t update itself. It takes five minutes to check, and it can save your family a world of heartache later. When’s the last time you looked?

Here's one that catches families off guard: Medicare and health insurance don't cover long-term care. Nursing homes, assisted living, in-home help as you age, that's usually out of pocket, and one of the biggest bills a family can face. That's the gap long-term care planning fills, so your savings and your kids aren't left carrying it. Who would cover that for you?

This week on According to the Kids, I asked my 12 year old what it means to be rich. Her answer stopped me: “It could mean a lot of things. Rich in love, rich in money, rich in clothes.” At 12, she already gets that wealth isn’t just a dollar amount. When I asked what she’d buy with a big sum of money, she kept it real: clothes and more lip gloss. 😂 But here’s the part that got me. She named Mr. Beast as the richest person she knows, same as her sister last week, and what she admired most wasn’t the money. It was that he helps homeless people. And she said she’d do the same. Rich in love, and already thinking about giving. What does being rich mean to you?

You insure your car. You insure your house. But the thing that pays for both? Most people leave it completely unprotected. Your ability to earn an income is your biggest asset. It's what covers the mortgage, the groceries, the car payment, all of it. Yet if an injury or illness kept you from working for months, most families would be in serious trouble fast. That's what disability insurance is for. It replaces part of your paycheck so a bad break doesn't turn into a financial disaster. It's not the exciting part of a plan, but it might be the most important. If you couldn't work for six months, how long could your household hold on?

Every fall, your Medicare plan sends you a letter called the Annual Notice of Change. It tells you what's shifting for the new year: your premium, your copays, the drugs covered, the doctors in your network. The problem? It's confusing, it's easy to ignore, and most people have no idea what actually changed or what it means for them. Here's the thing. You shouldn't have to figure that out on your own. That's exactly why I reach out to my clients and walk them through what's different this year, so nothing catches them off guard. Open enrollment runs through December 7. You don't have to decode that letter alone. Do you actually know what's changing on your plan this year?

The day I became a dad, I wasn’t just happy. I was scared. Because I realized if something happened to me, my family wouldn’t just lose me, they’d be left with a bill and no plan. That’s the day protection got personal for me. Life insurance and disability coverage aren’t about you. They’re about making sure the people you love never have to choose between grieving and surviving. And the ones who need it most are almost always the ones who think they’ll “get to it later.” I was almost one of them. Who’s counting on you?

I spend my days talking about returns, growth, and long-term gains. But the best return I've ever gotten is right here. No account statement comes close. Here's the thing people miss: all the planning, all the saving, all the discipline, it's not so you can stare at a bigger number one day. It's so you get more of this. More time, more freedom, more room to show up for the people who matter. The money is just the tool. They're the payoff. What's the real return you're working toward?
