With Hurricane Isaias approaching, we wanted to provide a few safety tips to keep in mind:

✓ Monitor weather conditions and road closures
✓ Plan alternate routes and avoid flood-prone areas
✓ Keep your fuel tank full when possible
✓ Double-check that cargo is properly secured
✓ Keep an emergency kit stocked with water, food, first aid supplies and other essentials
✓ Stay in communication with dispatch and your team
✓ Avoid traveling during the worst of the storm when possible
✓ After the storm, assess road and infrastructure conditions before getting back on the road

When conditions change, safety should come before the schedule. Plan ahead, stay informed and know when it’s time to pull over.
