Medicare Myth of the Day...

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

That sounds like good advice... unless we're talking about Medicare.

Every year, insurance companies change premiums, provider networks, and drug formularies. Even if you're perfectly happy with your coverage today, it's worth taking a few minutes each year to make sure it's still the best fit.

As we move into summer, this is a good time to take a quick look at your current Medicare Supplement premium.

**Medicare Supplement** plans can be reviewed during the year — you do not have to wait until the Annual Enrollment Period.

In many cases, Medicare beneficiaries may be able to find the same or similar coverage at a lower monthly premium, depending on health history, age, location, and available carrier options.

2026 Medicare Cost Updates

For those on Original Medicare, here are the new numbers for 2026:

Part A hospital deductible: $1,736 per benefit period

Hospital days 61–90: $434/day

Lifetime reserve days (91+): $868/day

Skilled Nursing Facility co-insurance (days 21–100): $117/day

Part B deductible: $283

Part B standard premium: $202.90/month

Friendly Reminder: Medicare AEP Ends Sunday, December 7th!

We’ll be here for you all week, Monday through Friday, to help with any last-minute questions or plan changes. If you’ve been meaning to review your coverage, now is the perfect time to give us a call.

Just a heads-up:
Our office will be closed on Saturday, December 6th
And also closed on Sunday, December 7th (AEP deadline)

🌟 Medicare Alert!

Watch out for scammers this Annual Enrollment Period:

1️⃣ Phone calls – Medicare will never call asking for personal info. Hang up.
2️⃣ Fake agents at your door – It is against the law! If someone shows up knocking on your door claiming to be a Medicare agent, slam the door, lock it, and run directly to your phone to call your local insurance agent.
3️⃣ Deceptive ads – Too good to be true? It probably is.

And if a plan promises a free cruise… just smile, wave, and keep an eye on your wallet. 😄
