The office will be closed for insurance and investment on Friday. Tammy will be here for TAXES ONLY. Make plans accordingly. If you have a payment due it will need to be made by Thursday at 4:30PM

So, with storm season already starting I wanted to make a quick post.
Have you replaced your roof? Made sure you told your agent? Not sure? Call them and ask what your insurance company has for the age of your roof. If you are one of my/Frank Snyder Financial clients, our companies ask for a PAID invoice for them to update it. Please get them to me ASAP so we can get these changes made. (This makes a difference at the time of a claim)
Make sure you know your policy before you file that claim. What do I mean?
You need to know if your roof is replacement or cash value.
How much is your deductible?
If you don't know call your agent.

2026 out of the days-I don't have all my vacation days scheduled yet, but I will update as I do.
Feb 23, 24 - I will be reachable by phone/text (limited computer access)
Feb 25 - I will be in until 10 AM then by phone only (out of the office training)

July 24 - 27- volunteering, limited access to phone and computer

If we really get the weather they are calling for over the weekend, there might be a delay in opening Monday. We need to give the crew time to clear the parking lot and sidewalks. Please call 618-414-8503 before making the drive to the office. We are here still 4:30 to make your payment if it is due Monday! Otherwise call it in Monday!

🚜🔥 Harvest Season Fire Safety 🔥🚜

As fields dry out, the risk of fire increases. Protect your equipment, your crop, and yourself by following these safety tips:

Machine Maintenance & Prevention
✅ Blow off chaff, leaves & debris daily to reduce fuel buildup
✅ Lubricate bearings & chains to prevent overheating
✅ Inspect wiring & connections for damage
✅ Check tires for cracks or wear

On-Field Safety
🔥 Carry at least two fire extinguishers—one in the cab & one accessible from the ground
📞 Have a plan to call 911 immediately if a fire starts—don’t delay
🚜 Keep a tractor with a disk in a safe location, ready to help stop a spreading fire

⚠️🔥 BOND COUNTY BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🔥⚠️

It rained, kinda... Unfortunately it was not even close to what was needed to lift the Burn Ban.

Conditions are getting worse daily with minimal relief in sight the next 10 days.

Low humidity with some windy conditions are expected the next 5 days. This will lead to even more drying out of available fuels.. Grass, weeds, and now farm fields that are beginning to turn.

The Bond County Fire Chiefs will reevaluate after additional rainfall or on a weekly basis.

▪️In addition, area Fire Protection District's are placing "yard sale" style signs along roadways to remind, and in some cases even notify, individuals the Burn Ban.

Signs will be placed along Illinois State right-of-ways. Anyone removing the signs will be charged with theft of tax supported property. That charge is a Class 4 Felony in Illinois.

The office will be closed for Christmas holiday, Wednesday, December 24th,25th,26th,27th, and 28th and will reopen Monday, December 29th.

*NOTE-as most of you know, just because I am off doesn’t mean that I am not working LOL. If I can answer my phone or emails when I can I do. But, keep in mind that I take off to get things done so I am not always in front of a computer to quote, make changes, take payment, or look up for policy right at that moment. What I can do is make note of it and as soon as I can get to my computer I will be more than happy to take care of it. Also, if you plan on trading or buying a new car during any of these dates, please each out before I leave so that we can make arrangements to make sure this can be completed, so that you can get the car the day you want it.
