Sunday thought 💭

Before another busy week starts, here’s something most of us probably aren’t thinking about today:

When was the last time you actually looked at your insurance coverage?

Your home. Your car. Your life. 🏡🚗❤️

We insure these things because they matter—but life changes, and the coverage you set up years ago may not fit your life today.

No sales pitch. Just your Sunday reminder to make sure the things you’ve worked hard for and the people you work hard for—are protected.

Many people are hesitant to get an insurance quote because they believe it will affect their credit score, require them to switch carriers, or take a significant amount of time. In reality, obtaining a quote is typically a simple process that does not impact credit and provides an opportunity to review coverage options and pricing. Even if no changes are made, having a current quote can help ensure you’re receiving the protection you need at a competitive rate.

Most people know what they pay for insurance.
Far fewer know what their insurance actually covers.

Rates change.
Discounts change.
Coverage needs change.
If your policy hasn’t changed with them, it may be time to review it.🫵🫵🫵

Storms rolled through last night—before rushing to file a claim, take a few minutes to do this first:

✔️ Inspect your home/property safely for visible damage.
✔️ Take photos/videos of anything damaged.
✔️ Get repair estimates or inspections from reputable contractors.
✔️ Check your deductible—some repairs may cost less than your out-of-pocket.
✔️ Keep receipts for any temporary repairs to prevent further damage.

Filing a claim isn’t always the first step. Sometimes getting the facts first can save you a headache later.

If you have questions about whether damage is worth claiming, reach out to your company

Friendly reminder: Keep photos/videos of your home and belongings updated—it can make claims much smoother if you ever need them.

Bad weather is unpredictable—your understanding of your insurance shouldn’t be. Know your deductible, coverage, and policy details before you need them.😬😬

Most people don’t review their insurance…
they just keep paying it.

That’s where problems start.

Some of y’all are one accident away from finding out what your insurance doesn’t cover…

Everybody says they’ve got “full coverage”
but most don’t actually know what that means.

If you’ve ever wondered what yours really looks like,
it might be worth taking a second look.👀👀

Attention 👀

Some of y’all really just be having auto, home, or life insurance… and going off vibes 😭

but still riding around, living in, and protecting things they haven’t reviewed in forever.

Meanwhile I’m on Day 1 of a 3-day boot camp this week leveling up, learning more behind the scenes, and seeing how much people don’t get told about their coverage.

It’s not always about paying less — sometimes it’s about not being caught off guard when something actually happens.

Auto, home, renters, life… it all ties together more than people think.

And honestly, most people aren’t underinsured on purpose…
they just haven’t had someone really break it down for them.

It’s easy to have a policy…
it’s different when you actually understand it.

Just saying.
