It’s been over a month since Hurricane Helene and many families are still struggling with post-storm paperwork—from FEMA applications to insurance claims. Navigating these processes can be challenging, especially for non-English speakers.

In the past month, we’ve volunteered to help some local families, and now we’re expanding our support. Through Susu Lend, we’re connecting those in need with bilingual members who are ready to assist with these tasks.

On this final day of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re reminded of the power of community and the strength that comes from supporting one another. Susu Lend was born out of this very spirit — a modern take on the Susu tradition that has uplifted generations within the Hispanic community.

At Susu Lend, we are committed to empowering those often overlooked by traditional financial systems. Like Pedro’s father, many hardworking individuals deserve access to fair lending options and the chance to build their American Dream.
