Earlier this week, we gathered at Hunters’ Pointe Shooting Clays in Washington, NC for another memorable day of fellowship, friendly competition, and giving back.

Every year, Pull for Youth brings our agricultural community together to support and programs, helping provide funding and opportunities for the young leaders who will shape the future of our industry.

Applications are now open for AgCarolina Farm Credit’s Summer 2027 Internship Program! 🌱💡

Designed for rising juniors and seniors pursuing a degree in agriculture, agribusiness, finance, or a related field, this paid, full-time internship offers hands-on experience in agricultural lending. Interns will shadow loan officers, support Association-wide projects, learn how different departments work together, and travel throughout AgCarolina’s territory to see our work in action.

Internship opportunities are available through our Greenville, Fayetteville, and Raleigh locations. Applications are open through Saturday, October 31.

| Madelyn Tanner, Clinton, NC 🦃🌾

From the farm she grew up on to the one where she’s raising her own children, agriculture has shaped every chapter of Madelyn Tanner’s life.

Madelyn’s agricultural roots stretch back generations. Her grandparents were among the first families to begin hog farming with Murphy Farms in 1981, and her parents later built a hog farm of their own. When Madelyn married her husband, Brandon, in 2020, two farming families and generations of agricultural traditions came together.

Today, they operate a turkey farm, raise cattle, and produce hay while raising their growing family. Madelyn also brings her agricultural experience to work each day as a Commercial Loan Processor in AgCarolina’s Clinton office.

"I enjoy getting to know the people in our community. Having been raised on a farm, I understand the hard work, sacrifices, and challenges that come with the farming lifestyle," she said.

Happy first day of autumn from AgCarolina Farm Credit! 🍂

For many farmers, fall is less about slowing down and more about seeing a season’s worth of work come full circle. Fields change, barns fill, and long days continue as harvest moves forward across North Carolina.
