It’s hard to put into words that two years ago today, Hurricane Helene devastated our community.
I’ll never forget the devastation I saw on people’s faces as we hand-delivered checks to help families find a hotel because their homes were uninhabitable, purchase clothing and furniture after everything they owned was destroyed, and begin taking the first steps toward rebuilding their lives.
But alongside the devastation, we witnessed something incredibly powerful: this community coming together.
Neighbors helping neighbors. Businesses stepping up. Strangers showing up for one another. So many people giving their time, resources, and hearts to help those who were hurting.
I have never been more proud to represent State Farm and, most importantly, to be a part of this community. Two years later, the memories remain, but so does the strength, compassion, and resilience of the people who came together when it mattered most. ❤️
