Medicare Open Enrollment started this week, and it runs through December 7 (source: Medicare.gov).
This is the one window each year when you can switch Medicare Advantage plans, change your Part D drug plan, or move back to Original Medicare. Plans can change their costs, drug lists, and doctor networks every year, so last year's choice may not be the best fit for 2027.
A simple checklist:
• Read your Annual Notice of Change letter
• Make sure your prescriptions are still covered
• Confirm your doctors are still in network
If retirement is coming up, how Medicare fits into your income plan matters too. Have a question? Drop it in the comments or send me a message. Happy to help 🙂
