We specialize in educating, advocating for and enrolling individuals in Medicare, health Insurance plans and life insurance. The Health Insurance Shoppe began with two Certified Senior Advisers. After years of experience working with one major insurance carrier in North Carolina, Chuck and Martha Uhlir realized they could best help their Clients by not only offering one insurance carrier, but by o

ffering more insurance choices to their Clients. "We strongly believe finding your right solution begins with having as many choices available as possible. We don't tailor our clients to fit the plan but find the plan that fits our client's needs the best." In 2013 we decided to open the first retail storefront in Greensboro, North Carolina. We wanted to offer most of the major insurance carriers in North Carolina to give our Clients choices and to find the right choice for their circumstances.

As AEP approaches, scam calls tend to spike too. Please keep in mind that a real agent will never pressure you to enroll on the spot or ask for payment over the phone to 'lock in' a plan. When in doubt, report the caller to 1-800-MEDICARE, and feel free to call our team of licensed agents to get clarity on plan information.

Yesterday, we celebrated Nick Piornak and a career that shaped far more than buildings.

Nick played an integral role in helping build Revolution Mill into a remarkable place where businesses, artists and neighbors do more than share space. We connect, collaborate and genuinely care about one another.

Standing together at his retirement party, I think many of us had the same realization: we’re really going to miss this guy. Nick's fingerprints are all over this place - not just in what was built, but in the relationships he has cultivated along the way.

That’s the thing about community. It doesn’t just happen. People build it and Nick helped build ours!
