FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Two Forsyth County detention officers are recovering at home after they were attacked by an inmate on Friday, according to Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough. …

“It has been brought to our attention that a post was made about one of our Detention Officers in which the full truth was not told. The son of Amy Litaker, is a resident at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. This weekend he brutally assaulted 2 of our Detention Officers, including a 61-year-old female Detention Officer.
When our detention officers responded and attempted to restrain him after the fact, he became combative, and force was used to ensure the safety of our detention officers.
The resident was never stomped or kicked in the head. Our officers used appropriate use of force techniques learned through training to gain control of the combative resident. With the use of force, it is standard procedure for us to send the resident to the hospital to be evaluated for injuries.
We won’t go into details about why he is incarcerated but know that both officers are still receiving care for their injuries sustained during the assault. In fact, the officers will be affected by their injuries for months and years to come due to the resident beating them.
When you decide to speak out about a story or incident that occurred within our Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center, please ensure you tell the truth and share all the facts of the story.” Sheriff Bobby F. Kimbrough, Jr.

We want to commend Sheriff Rick Singleton of the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama for handling this nightmare with grace and poise.

I could not fathom the embarrassment, disappointment, and worry the entire Sheriff’s office is feeling right now with the escape of Capital Murder suspect Casey White.

Today the Sheriff announced that Assistant Director Vicki White is considered officially a suspect, that she did aid him, and that there is a warrant for her arrest.

Additional facts that have been released today are as follows:

-Vicki’s last official day of work was the day of the escape.

-She absolutely did sell her house, she told co-workers that she was moving to the beach upon retirement, and that the sale of the house took place 3-4 months ago.

- The Sheriff stated that he does believe that the suspects have a romantic relationship, however we can’t confirm that 100% just yet. Sheriff has his reasons for thinking this so that’s why I’m posting it.

- Upon exiting the jail, the suspects immediately went to the parking lot to change out vehicles and lose the patrol car. This change of vehicles took approximately 9 minutes from the moment of escape to losing the patrol car. It was roughly 5 and a half hours from this moment before they were reported missing.

- So many federal agencies are involved, and information keeps coming in, but as of right now they have no idea where they are.

-Sheriff stated that he is not sure if the Canadian or Mexican borders were alerted, that task is being handled by a federal agency.

Sheriff Singleton stated that he lives by the truth, and will show the good, the bad, and the ugly of this entire case. I feel strongly that this is one of the darker sides of what humanizing the badge means, and in a world where our law enforcement community is constantly under scrutiny, he has handled this with the utmost professionalism.

Per the request of the Sheriff, attached is the most current photo of Casey White. White is 6 feet 9 inches tall, and regardless if he changes his looks, his height will stand out. Consider him armed and incredibly dangerous. THIS GOES OUT TO ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT, BE CAREFUL WITH HIM. Casey White is in the middle of a death penalty case and he has zero to lose.

On February 24, 2022, the Narcotics Unit of Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office received information that a quantity of narcotics was being shipped into Spartanburg by a freight company. After a K-9 alert of the container, a search warrant was executed, which revealed approx. 28 kilograms of Methamphetamine. On February 25, 2022, a controlled delivery of the container was made to 128 Convair Dr., Spartanburg, SC, 29301, a residence the suspect owns in this county. The suspect directed the undercover officers where to place the container. Once the suspect took possession of the container, officers detained the suspect ,and a search warrant was conducted on the residence. Inside the residence, 15 kilograms of He**in, two kilogram presses, and 547 grams of blue pressed pills. The suspect’s small child was also at the residence and was taken into protective custody. Yajahira Sotelo-Quiterio, W/F, 25 years old, 403 Rosalee Dr., Piedmont, SC, 29673, was charged with the following offenses:

*Trafficking Methamphetamine over 400 grams
*Trafficking He**in over 28 grams
*Unlawful Neglect of a Child

The street value of the recovered narcotics are as follows:

Methamphetamine approx. $1,736,940.00
He**in approx. $1,858,560.00
Blue pills approx. $108,960.00
For a total value of $3,704,460.00

The suspect appeared before a magistrate several days ago, and a magistrate deferred the setting of her bond to a circuit court judge. Despite her arrest, this investigation remains active.
