Today was Clay Center / Greenleaf Social event. Karen Chapman Director of Marketing & Education from KSDS housed in Washington KS presented our program. What an amazing organization that helps and places guide dogs, service dogs and facility dogs all over the U.S. We were honored to have our own CCMC facility dog Bray and owner Kristin. Kristin shared Bray’s rolls in helping around the hospital with patience in the hospital and out patients in therapy . Bray became the facility dog for CCMC in April of this year. I would like to Thank Karen, Kristin and Bray for such and fun and educational morning.

Each Memorial Day, The Citizens National Bank pauses to remember, to honor, and to pay respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

Today is a day to reflect on the service of the brave men and women who fought in defense of our freedoms, our shared values, and our way of life. As we reflect on their service this Memorial Day, let us remember what their sacrifice means and commit to upholding the American values worthy of that sacrifice.

The Friendship Club spent the day in 3 small towns in KS, we saw some very beautiful things. First stop the Vera Haus AirBNB Venue owned and hosted by Kate and Dana Bergsten Jr. in Douglass. What a beautifully restored vintage home. Lunch at Sugar Shane’s in Augusta and then on to Benton for our last stop at Infinity Art Glass Studio owned by Scott and Gwen Hartley. Scott does some very unique pieces, he was amazing to watch. What a beautiful Kansas day with some awesome friends. Thank you for spending your day with us.

What a fun morning at the Clay Center/Greenleaf Social. John from Elk Creek Gardens had some beautiful plants for us. John is always so helpful answering many of our plant and landscaping questions. Lucky winners were Shirley Riek, Rhonda Gierhan, and Rick Ricketts. We hope they enjoy their plants. Thank you for sharing your morning with The Friends Club.
