A little hard work can make a BIG difference. 💚

The GBC Bank team recently spent the day putting hammers, drills and teamwork to work with SAWs (Servants At Work) to help build a wheelchair ramp for a local family.

What starts as a pile of lumber becomes something so much more: greater accessibility, greater independence and one less barrier for someone in our community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside an organization doing such meaningful work right here in our community.

We had a great group of future leaders in the building! 💚💛

Approximately 16 Eastern Hancock High School freshmen and their teachers recently joined us at GBC Bank as part of the EH Connect class for a behind the scenes look at banking.

Our COO, Justin Proctor, led the group through the bank, showing them both the customer facing side of our operations and what happens behind the scenes. They also got a peek into our Wealth Management department and heard a little more about the many different roles and opportunities within banking.

Justin shared a presentation with the students, and WOW, did they come prepared with questions! Their questions were detailed, thoughtful and insightful. It was so encouraging to see their curiosity and genuine interest in learning how everything works.

We are grateful to Eastern Hancock for including GBC Bank in the EH Connect experience. We love opportunities like this to open our doors, introduce students to careers they may not have considered and give them a glimpse into what it means to be part of a community bank.
