I have been a State Farm Agent since 1995, and this career has been a dream for me. Before becoming an agent, I worked as a State Farm Auto Insurance and Homeowners Insurance Claims Rep from 1988-to 1994. Morning routines are changing, school zones are getting busier, and there are more walkers, bikes, buses, and new drivers on the road.

A few simple reminders for all of us:
• Put the phone away while driving
• Give yourself a little extra time
• Watch closely for crossing guards and pedestrians
• Follow your school’s drop-off and pickup procedures

🏠 A surprisingly useful 10-minute project: start a home inventory.

You do not have to document your entire house in one afternoon. Start with one room—or even one shelf.

📱 Take photos or a quick video
📝 Note model or serial numbers for important items
🧾 Keep receipts or purchase information when you have it
☁️ Store a copy somewhere it can still be accessed if something happens at home

A current home inventory can be useful when discussing your insurance needs and documenting the belongings you own.
