Cost-sharing reductions are different from premium tax credits, and understanding both can save you serious money. 💵

While premium tax credits lower your monthly payment, cost-sharing reductions decrease what you pay when you actually use healthcare services like deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.

You have to enroll in a Silver plan through the Marketplace to get cost-sharing reductions, and your income needs to fall below certain thresholds.
