A question I get a lot: My insurance keeps going up, how do I SAVE money on it?
Insurance premiums are going up… but that doesn’t always mean you have to sacrifice coverage to save money.
Here are a few ways to potentially lower your premium without cutting the protection you need:
1. Review your deductibles – Increasing a deductible can lower your premium while keeping the same coverage limits.
2. Bundle your policies – Combining home, auto, business, or other policies with the right carrier can unlock valuable discounts.
3. Ask about available discounts – Safe driving, alarm systems, newer roofs, claims-free history, defensive driving courses, and more may qualify.
4. Review your vehicles – Make sure your usage, mileage, drivers, and vehicle information are accurate. Sometimes circumstances change and your policy doesn’t.
5. Shop your policy—not just your price – Different insurance companies can have very different rates for the exact same risk.
6. Review your policy annually – Your life changes, your business changes, and your insurance should change with it.
The biggest mistake I see? Cutting coverage just to make the premium cheaper.
The goal shouldn’t always be the cheapest insurance. It should be finding the right coverage at the right price.
